Cyber-Physical Systems and Cybersecurity



Industry is in the middle of digital transformation, facing the challenges of cybersecurity in digitization and business models. Thus, all persons involved in this process need a fundamental understanding of cybersecurity in digital Transformation. This is necessary to create reliable cybersecurity concepts, but also fundamental knowledge of digitization and business models, to assess their implementation also while considering security risks. Therefore, this certificate program part introduce in the cybersecurity topics required to develop an essential problem solving competence. This enables participants’ to evaluate cybersecurity approaches regarding their applicability and capability in the context of cybersecurity in the context of an effective und successful implementation. The topics covered in the course of this certificate program part are outlined in learning objects.

To successfully complete the part “Fundamentals of cybersecurity in digital transformation”, students prove their problem solving competence in an individual project work. The lecturer announces the topics early to the students. In consultation with the lecturer, students also can self-choose an individual student project work topic. The topic may be chosen in relation to the working environment of the student. The result of the project work is presented oral and in a project report. During the semester, virtual meetings and/or seminars are regularly scheduled and conducted.


This certificate course can be credited to the master program "Intercultural Leadership and Technology".
